About the Department
Overview
The Civil Defence organization was established in India under the Ministry of Home Affairs to protect life and property from hostilities and disasters. In Uttar Pradesh, the Directorate coordinates a massive network of dedicated volunteers and officials.
Aims and Objectives
- To save life and minimize damage to property from enemy action or disasters.
- To maintain continuity of production and essential services during emergencies.
- To boost and maintain the morale of the public during hostilities.
